Richard Baldry

Richard Ernest Baldry was the son of Richard Baldry (1844-1910) and Elizabeth Hook (born: 1850).  He was born in Saxlingham Nethergate in the June quarter of 1883.

The 1911 Census shows him to be living in Saxlingham Nethergate with his widowed mother, his sister and brother.  His occupation was described as an “Assistant in business.”

He enlisted in 1915 and served as an RGA Gunner.  He was awarded two wound stripes (see William Steele’s page for an explanation of wound stripes.)

He died in Norwich in the September quarter of 1953.  We believe Richard Baldry did not marry.
